I think I know what this problem might be. I had a similar problem myself when
I switched to using an A1200 from an A500 and I started to use some more advanced
paint packages like Brilliance. I'm not sure if you have an A1200 or the AGA
chipset then this is it.... As you know the AGA chipset allows you to have a
palette of 16.7 million colours by giving you 0-255 RGB but the old chipsets
only have 0-15 RGB. Whatever anyone says about the iff format there is still
going to be some diference in a 4096 colour palette and a 16.7 milion palette
and this is where your problem might be... The the easy answer would be to
load the picture into Brilliance and change from a 16mill palette to a 4096
pallete and save the pic... This way the palette will load into AMOS easily..
I'm sure AMOS wasn't going to be expecting diferent palettes...

Even if this isn't your problem I'm sure someone might find this usefull.. The
only other way to do it would be to save the palette and read this in or if
you want a long winded method... write down the pallete from your paint program
and then use the palette command to set it to the same values...

I can't remember if this was only an AMOS 1.3 problem or if it still happened
with AMOS pro...
